Dr. Leonard Goldman
Dr. Goldman has been recognized as a prominent member of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery community in the Washington DC area for 39 years.
He has been recognized by his peers as "Best Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023 and "Hall of Fame 2024."

Dr. LEONARD GOLDMAN
- Dr. Goldman is a Senior Attending Surgeon at Medstar Washington Hospital Center, teaches in the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program and serves on the Medical Board at Medstar. He is an Instructor in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- Dr. Goldman graduated 2nd in his class from the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore, completed a General Practice Residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in N.Y., and then completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the Washington Hospital Center where he served as Chief Resident. He is recognized as a Fellow by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
- Dr. Goldman has been recognized continually throughout his career as a "Best Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon" by Washingtonian Magazine.
- Dr. Goldman's passion for caring for the less fortunate is evidenced by his numerous volunteer commitments. He has served more than 15 years as the Chief Oral Surgeon at the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington and has volunteered at countless Missions of Mercy, providing free Oral Surgery services for those in need. He has traveled to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua also providing free surgical care. In May of 2022 he worked in Warsaw, Poland treating Ukrainian refugees.
- Dr. Goldman prides himself on his state of the art private practice providing laser surgery, cone beam 3D imaging and X-Nav computer guided implant placement. He maintains a keen interest in General Anesthesia and Sedation, providing safe and effective pain control and anesthesia and teaching anesthesia to the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residents at Medstar.
- He is the proud husband of Dr. Lisa DeMarco, Orthodontist. He is also a proud Dad to Bryan, an Ophthalmologist and Cornea specialist in Richmond, VA, and to Alexa, a Nurse Practitioner with a Cardiology specialty in Glen Ellyn, IL. He cherishes his frequent visits to his 93 year old Mom in N.Y.
- Dr. Goldman is an avid sports enthusiast enjoying golf, running, roller blading and biking. He is most content while attending a Grateful Dead concert or with a good book in his hands at the beach, or watching his beloved Orioles or N.Y. Giants.
